  • 2 cups Minute® Brown Rice
  • 1 lb beef flank steak, cut into strips
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen broccoli florets, thawed and drained
  • 1 can (8 oz) sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup dry roasted peanuts (optional)


  • This simple Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry is perfect for satisfying that takeout craving after a long day. With Minute® Rice, you can make your own Asian-inspired meal, in just 20 minutes!

    Step 1

    Prepare rice according to package directions.

    Step 2

    Meanwhile, place steak strips in a medium bowl. Sprinkle with cornstarch; toss to coat.

    Step 3

    Add orange juice and ginger to bowl. Stir until well blended.

    Step 4

    Heat oil in a large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak mixture and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, or until steak is cooked through. Reduce heat to medium-low.

    Step 5

    Stir in broccoli, water chestnuts and soy sauce. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes, or until sauce has thickened, stirring frequently.

    Step 6

    Serve beef and vegetable mixture over rice. Sprinkle with peanuts, if using.

    Recipe Tip

    To make slicing easier, place the steak in the freezer for 30 minutes to 1 hour before cutting it into strips.
