Choosing a Curry

First things first, curry is a stew of proteins or vegetables cooked in a thick, spicy sauce or gravy that is often served on top of fluffy rice.

Green: For a curry packed with fresh herbs and mild chilies, go green. Though it has a characteristic aromatic flavor, green curry does still pack a punch thanks to the small Thai chilies in the paste. With fresh flavors and a good amount of heat, green curry is quite the crowd pleaser!

Yellow: A mild and slightly sweet option, yellow curry primarily consists of rich spices; in fact, turmeric gives this paste its golden hue. This Thai-inspired Spiced Curry Coconut Rice is packed with many of the same spices found in yellow curry.

Red: Dried red chilies add color and heat to red curry paste. Slightly milder than green curry, red curry still adds bold flavor to dishes.
