Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup water
  • 7 tbsp granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Minute® Instant White Rice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chocolate sauce

Instructions

  • End your taco Tuesday meal with something incredible and simple-to-make like this cinnamon and sugar churro-inspired rice pudding using Minute® Instant White Rice. Serve warm and creamy or make ahead and served chilled.

    Step 1

  • In saucepan set over medium-high heat, combine cream, water, 5 tbsp sugar, vanilla and salt. Bring to boil, stirring often.

    Step 2

  • Stir in white rice. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover and cook, stirring frequently, for 5 to 6 minutes or until rice is very tender and liquid is slightly thickened.

    Step 3

  • Divide among 4 or 6 serving cups. Let stand for 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened.

    Step 4

  • Stir remaining sugar with cinnamon; sprinkle over rice pudding. Drizzle with chocolate sauce.

    Recipe Tip

Alternatively, serve rice pudding cold. Cover and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours or until chilled.
