    Recipe Tips
For a crunchy topping, sprinkle the casserole with 1/3 cup breadcrumbs tossed with 2 tbsp melted butter.

Boost the flavor of this dish by making your own gravy. Start by melting 3 tablespoons of butter in a medium saucepan set over medium heat. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour. Cook, stirring continuously, for 2 minutes. Slowly whisk in 2 cups turkey, chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Season with 1/4 tsp each salt and black pepper. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until thickened and flavorful.
