Start with a wok or frying pan to brown the chicken in the oil. Browning is important as it cooks the outer edges of the meat, giving it a crispier texture and adding a delicious base for the other ingredients to cook in. Next, sauté your choice of fresh or frozen stir-fry vegetables, such as mushrooms, carrots, garlic and ginger in the pan until the chicken is cooked through. Using a frozen variety of stir-fry vegetables from the freezer section of your store is a great way to save time and money. Simmer everything in the sweet and savory sauce and finish it off with eggs, sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Pineapple is often combined with soy sauce and sesame sauce in Asian dishes. The combination of sweet and savory ingredients makes for an irresistible flavor that you and your family will love. Sometimes, orange is also used instead of pineapple.
