Sweet Banana Goodness

There are a lot of great desserts out there but rice pudding is always a favorite. Add in banana and you’ve got a rice pudding that’s creamy, delicious and really can’t be beat. After a busy week, you deserve a great-tasting dessert. With Minute® Instant White Rice, you can enjoy delicious flavor without having to spend hours in the kitchen and without the hassle of mega cleanup!

Change up the flavor in this dessert by adding cocoa powder or peanut butter to the mix. Or, top each serving with crushed vanilla wafers and cinnamon, chopped nuts or chocolate syrup. Anything goes!

If you’re looking for a more whole-grain option, try our Creamy Brown Rice Pudding. Just don’t forget to add some banana!

The best bananas for this recipe are ripe bananas that are developing some brown spots. Just don’t let your bananas sit too long and become too dark. After you’ve peeled the banana you can cut it into slices or mash it up.

Feeling adventurous? Add caramelized bananas to your rice pudding. Simply heat 1 tablespoon of butter and 2 teaspoons of brown sugar in a pan and add your sliced banana. When the bananas have cooked and started to caramelize, add them to the rice pudding.
