Making Traditional Parfait

Although this recipe calls for yogurt to be used for the base of the parfait, if you have a bit more time to spare you may prefer to make a more traditional style parfait.

Traditional parfait is made by simply mixing together cream, sugar and syrup and boiling it. Once it has reached a custard-like consistency you can then add your own layers like fruits and nuts.

What’s the Difference Between Basmati Rice and White Rice

Basmati rice is available in both brown and white which means that it can sometimes be mistaken for typical white rice. In regards to taste, Basmati rice has more of a distinctive aromatic, nutty flavor meaning that it is perfect for curries, whereas white rice on the other hand has more of a neutral flavor.

What Berries are in a Typical Berry Mix?

Typically you will normally find a mixture of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries and strawberries in a standard frozen berry mix, though feel free to add any other additional fruit you want like bananas. There are also plenty of other additives you can use, for example try adding in some sugar to turn up the sweetness.
