Making Traditional Parfait

Although this recipe calls for yogurt to be used for the base of the parfait, if you have a bit more time to spare you may prefer to make a more traditional style parfait.

Traditional parfait is made by simply mixing together cream, sugar and syrup and boiling it. Once it has reached a custard-like consistency you can then add your own layers like fruits and nuts.

What’s the Difference Between Basmati Rice and White Rice

Basmati rice is available in both brown and white varieties which means that it can sometimes be mistaken for typical white rice. In regards to taste, basmati rice has more of an aromatic, nutty flavor, making it perfect for curries. White rice, on the other hand, has more of a neutral flavor.

What Berries are in a Typical Berry Mix?

Typically, you will find a mixture of blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries in a standard frozen berry mix. For this recipe, though, feel free to add any other additional fruit you enjoy, such as cherries or bananas.
