Ingredients

  • 1 cup Minute® Ready to Serve Brown Rice
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup cooked, sliced sausage
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced onion
  • 1 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Packed with flavorful sausage, crisp vegetables, and nutty whole grains, this delicious meal hits all the hearty food groups. When balanced meals are this easy to prepare, you may end up deleting all your food delivery apps!

    Step 1

  • Heat rice according to package directions.

    Step 2

  • Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add sausage and brown slices on both sides.

    Step 3

  • Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes, or until vegetables are crisp-tender.

    Step 4

  • Add salt and pepper and stir to combine.

    Step 5

  • Serve over rice.

    Recipe Tip

    Taste the dish before adding the salt as you may not need to use it all. Some sausages are very salty.
