  • 2 cups Minute® Jasmine Rice
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp red chili paste
  • 4 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh cilantro


  • You don’t have to know how to pronounce it to enjoy the flavors of Nasi Goreng, a typical Indonesian-style fried rice dish.     Step 1

  • Prepare rice according to package directions. Let cool completely.

    Step 2

  • Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken, carrot, onions, garlic, ginger, salt and pepper for 5 to 8 minutes, or until chicken starts to brown.

    Step 3

  • Stir in rice, chili paste, sesame oil and curry powder. Cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes, or until rice is well coated.

    Step 4

  • Stir in ketchup, soy sauce and water; cook for 1 minute. Stir in bean sprouts; cook for about 1 minute, or until heated through.

    Step 5

  • Top with green onions and cilantro.
