Ingredients

  • 2 cups Minute® Jasmine Rice
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, grated
  • 2 small shallots, grated
  • 1 tbsp sambal oelek (chile paste)
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup (8 oz) ground chicken
  • 2 tbsp kecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion

Instructions

  • Made with fluffy Minute® Instant Jasmine Rice, ground chicken, an assortment of seasonings and diced vegetables, our take on nasi goreng makes a satisfying and quick dinner in less than 30 minutes.

    Step 1

  • Prepare rice according to package directions. Spread out on a pan to cool completely.

    Step 2

  • Meanwhile, heat oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, shallots and sambal oelek to the pan and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.

    Step 3

  • Add the carrots and chicken to the pan and stir well to combine. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until chicken begins to brown.

    Step 4

  • Add rice, kecap manis and soy sauce and mix gently to combine. Continue to cook for 3-4 minutes, until rice is heated through.

    Step 5

  • Serve garnished with bean sprouts, cilantro and green onion.

    Recipe Tip

    Sambal oelek (a chile paste) and kecap manis (a sweet soy sauce) are available at most Asian markets.
