What is Basmati?

A long-grain rice that is common in India, Basmati is a fragrant rice with a nutty flavor and fluffy texture. The scent of basmati is similar to roasted nuts, or even popcorn! It is great for fried-rice, pilafs, pulaos, and for salads and other dishes that need some light and fluffy textures.
