Instructions

  • Don’t stress over what to make for dinner tonight. Try these simple and delicious Stuffed Cabbage Rolls and make something that the whole family will love!

    Step 1

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Step 2

  • Place cabbage leaves in a large microwavable bowl. Add water and cover loosely with plastic wrap. Microwave on HIGH for 4 to 5 minutes, or until leaves are softened but not fully cooked. Set aside.

    Step 3

  • Beat egg in a large bowl. Add beef, rice, onions, garlic and salt. Stir to combine.

    Step 4

  • Spoon 1/2 cup of the meat mixture onto the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold the sides and end of the leaf over the filling and roll up tightly.

    Step 5

  • Transfer each roll, seam-side down, to a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Top with pasta sauce and cover with foil.

    Step 6

  • Bake for 1 hour, or until meat is cooked through and cabbage is tender. Let stand, covered, for 5 minutes before serving.

    Recipe Tips
    To avoid any tough bits, cut out thick ribs from each cabbage leaf after they have been microwaved, before topping with the meat mixture.

    If you prefer, substitute ground pork, turkey, chicken or meatless ground for the ground beef.
