  • 1 can (10.75 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 1/3 cups water
  • 2 cups Minute® White Rice
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped chives, parsley or cilantro

    Step 1

  • Combine soup and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in rice and peas and remove from heat.

    Step 2

  • Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir gently. Sprinkle with chives.

    Switch up the flavor of this tasty side by using any variety of condensed soup you like. Try Cheddar cheese, cream of broccoli, cream of asparagus, cream of bacon or onion soup.

    Instead of peas, try finely-chopped broccoli florets, red pepper, black beans, corn, shredded kale or baby spinach in this dish.

    To make this into a more filling main, add 1 cup of cooked ground beef or shredded chicken. You could also try adding 1 drained can of tuna or chicken.

    If you have leftovers of this dish, stir-fry some Asian-style frozen vegetables with sesame oil. Add the leftover rice and stir-fry until heated through. Stir in a beaten egg and continue to stir-fry until the egg is set. Serve with soy sauce.
