Ingredients

  • 2 cups Minute® White Rice
  • 1 boneless beef sirloin steak, 1/2 inch thick (about 1 lb.)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3/4 cup light teriyaki sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  • Try this savory Teriyaki Pepper Steak — with sweet and tangy teriyaki sauce, crisp red and green peppers, and a bed of fluffy white rice — for dinner tonight. It’s a delicious and filling meal with a touch of Asian flair!

    Step 1

  • Prepare rice according to package directions.

    Step 2

  • Meanwhile, slice steak into thin strips. Season with black pepper and garlic powder.

    Step 3

  • Heat oil in a large, nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef, stirring, for 4-5 minutes, or until cooked through. Add bell peppers and onions and sauté for 3-4 minutes, until crisp-tender.

    Step 4

  • Combine teriyaki sauce, water and cornstarch in a small bowl. Add to beef mixture. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for 2 minutes, or until sauce thickens slightly. Serve beef mixture over rice. Garnish with sesame seeds, if using.
