Ingredients

  • 1 cup Minute® White Rice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

  • This rice pudding recipe with Irish cream is a unique take on a dessert classic.

    Step 1

  • Bring milk to a simmer in a small non-stick pan. Stir in rice. Remove from heat, cover and let stand 5 minutes, or until most of milk is absorbed. 

    Step 2

  • Meanwhile, whisk heavy whipping cream, chocolate syrup, vanilla extract, almond extract and egg yolk together. When rice is ready, return to medium heat and stir in egg mixture. Simmer, stirring frequently, 5 minutes. Pudding will thicken as it cools. 

    Step 3

  • Best served warm or at room temperature. Refrigerate any leftovers in a sealed container. Reheat in microwave 1 to 2 minutes. 

    Recipe Tip

    Add whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
