Spanish Rice Cooking Tips

Any great dish should start with a flavorful base. By sautéing the chicken, onions and bell pepper together in olive oil, then adding the tomatoes, chicken broth, peas and garlic powder, you’re creating a base layer of flavor for your rice to absorb.

The turmeric adds a mild flavor and a burst of color, giving this dish a vibrant red and orange hue, reminiscent of Spanish paella. Let your rice simmer and absorb all of that flavor for a quick lunch or dinner you can enjoy in no time!

Versatile Substitutions

This dish isn’t just easy to make — it’s also incredibly versatile! Swap the chicken for shrimp for a completely different meal, or make a vegetarian dish by omitting the meat altogether and swapping it for mushrooms or other vegetables. You can also mix things up by using your favorite veggies instead of the ones listed.
