Prep Tips

You can make this recipe with pre-packed sliced turkey, leftover holiday turkey or with ground turkey that you sauté at home. If you prepare your own meat, heat 1 tablespoon of canola oil in a pan and then add 1 pound of turkey. Cook for 5-7 minutes, and add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 2 teaspoons of sesame oil. Cook the turkey until it is no longer pink.

This recipe also uses Five-spice powder, which is a common Asian seasoning made with cinnamon, cloves, fennel, star anise, and Szechuan peppercorns. Some recipes also contain ginger, nutmeg, and licorice. Five-spice powder lends any dish a warm, sweet, deliciously spiced flavor.
